Harvest Ball
the
It’s a man-made creation; a ‘One of a Kind’
A lodge made by Artisans, the best they could find
A Gov’t Works Project 70-aught years ago
Hands carved it and shaped it, vast material sewed
They labored it, raised it, all furnishings designed.
Now it’s a treasure for you and for me
Come sit by the fire, go hike, or go ski
Nature surrounds you when inside or out
Hear the winds sigh, watch the snow fly; I have no doubt
That you can hear the Artisan’s hammer in memory.
Once a year when the weather grows cold
And the leaves turn red, orange, and gold
The Mountain calls public stewards of the land:
“Come join me to celebrate the work of YOUR hand.
Your efforts are worthy, your mission is bold”.
